Doron Kipen, the founder and owner of Music and Effects is a multi-award winning sound editor and re-recording mixer. He has received multiple Australian Screen Sound Guild awards, Inside Film Magazine award and an Australian Film Institute award for Best Sound. Doron mixed the Academy Award® winning short animation, The Lost Thing and the feature animation Mary and Max.
Doron has had extensive experience in recording, editing and mixing music, mixing audio for live theatre and in location recording. He has been using Soundfield microphones to record in surround since 1982 (one of the first people in the world to do so) and consequently the studio has a vast library of sound effects from Doron's travels around the globe. Doron is well known as an avid supporter of emerging screen talent and Music and Effects regularly hosts student tours at the facility.
