Don Hale(II)

Mixing and recording sound for a variety of production projects since 1984, Don started his career in San Diego, then traveled to Alaska to hone his sound skills mixing documentaries and commercials, then returning to California in 1986. His specialty and passion is mixing sound in extreme and remote locations worldwide. Traveling to over 79 countries on all 7 continents throughout his career, Don's experience in Production Sound is a "Mixed Bag" since he works on features, documentaries, network news magazines, commercials, and episodic. He has been an active member of the Cinema Audio Society (CAS) for 30 years, and is a 29 year member of IATSE Local 695 in North Hollywood, CA. Don has won 2-National Sports Emmy Awards. In his spare time, Don is active in the outdoors and enjoys rock climbing and mountaineering. He also enjoys traveling, wilderness camping, canyoneering, backpacking, surfing and photography. He is also a licensed General Class Amateur Radio Operator (KA6ILV) since 1979. Don resides in Fallbrook, CA.
