‘Hey Blondie!’ Dagwood, Blondie, Mr. Dithers and a victimized postman return for a stab at a TV revival of the 1940s series from Chic Young’s never-ending comic strip. It’s not bad, with Arthur Lake clowning up a storm and Pamela Britton a charming new embodiment of a character who began as ‘Blondie Boopadoop.’ It’s the entire one-season series.

The Wrap is reporting tonight that a shortlist of actors to play the new Spider-Man has emerged and as was reported earlier, it contains five names. The young men said to be in contention for the role are: Nat Wolff, Asa Butterfield, Tom Holland, Timothee Chalamet and Liam James. Neither Sony or Disney were prepared to comment on the list, but The Wrap is confident in their source.

While filming on Captain America: Civil War (which will feature a cameo from the webslinger) is set to get underway shortly, it still may be a while until we find out who exactly will be stepping into the iconic role. Apparently, Spidey’s scene won’t be shot until June, so whichever actor ends up snagging the part won’t be needed for at least a few more months.

While we eagerly await Sarah Polley to get back behind the camera and direct another movie, she's been busy on the screenwriting front. Last summer, she was hired by Paramount to adapt "The Fault In Our Stars," based on author John Greene's "Looking For Alaska." Now, she's been tapped by Amy Pascal to pen a new adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's "Little Women" for Sony. The book has already seen a few iterations on the big screen, the most recent being the 1994 outing featuring Winona Ryder, Kirsten Dunst, Claire Danes, Christian Bale, and more. For now, Polley isn't attached to direct, and won't make that decision until the script is done. "The Fault in Our Stars," the John Greene adaptation starring Shailene Woodley, is set to be the brightest star at the box office this weekend.  The tearjerker earned a stellar $8.2 million in Thursday night grosses. It rolled out at 9 p.m. in most cities.   That's significantly beyond the $4.9 million earned by Woodley's "Divergent" on its first night back in March. More amazingly, "Fault's" opening is up there with such recent big budget superhero hits like "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"($8.7 million) and "X-Men: Days of Future Past" ($8.1 million). "Maleficent," last week's top film, will bring some stiff competition, but "Fault" should earn in excess of $30 million for the weekend. Not bad for a film with a reported production budget of just $12 million. Fox 2000's The Fault in Our Stars opened to an astounding $8.2 million Thursday night at the North American box office, fueled by ardent female fans of John Greene's Ya novel about two young lovers who meet in a cancer support group. Another day, another tear-jerking young adult adaptation. Just as we started to emotionally recover from the breathtaking trailer for John Greene's The Fault in Our Stars, Warner Bros. hit us with a first look at If I Stay, based on Gayle Forman's 2009 novel of the same name. At first, you think you're in for another bittersweet story of young love: Mia Hall (Chloë Grace Moretz) dedicates her life to classical music, only to fall for adorable rocker Adam Wilde (Jamie Blackley). We’ve already seen Shailene Woodley on the first poster for The Fault In Our Stars as well as in an image released last week, and while we could see that she cut her hair, it wasn’t the best look at how she’ll appear in the film. Now, thanks to EW, we have a better photo of the actress and the new haircut that she’ll be sporting for the upcoming Ya adaptation.

Of course, the words “Ya adaptation” will make many proceed with caution, and rightfully so. Ever since The Hunger Games became a hit, we’ve seen numerous efforts try to capitalize on Lionsgate’s success and unfortunately, all of them have been horrid. Pro wrestling legend Hulk Hogan is expecting big things from his latest project: A reality show where he mentors a troupe of "micro-wrestlers," none of whom is taller than four feet.

The show, "Hulk Hogan’s Micro Championship Wrestling," debuts Sept. 14 on TruTV and focuses on the Hulkster's attempts to help lift -- both literally and figuratively -- a Florida-based group of little wrestlers to the same level of success as bigger wrestlers, such as The Rock, John Cena or Hogan himself.

To do that, Hogan said the key was going behind the scenes and telling the truth, rather than use the scripted storylines of WWE and other leagues.

"My old friend [former professional wrestler] Johnny Greene was doing shows with these guys and he asked me to help them get to the next level," Hogan explained to HuffPost Weird News. "I watched them and said, 'There is a TV show here!'...

Beside the new case, it's been a parade of familiar faces from cases past.

Nick and Pete have been requested by hotel owner Johnny Greene (Mark Ralston - 1.04 Nevada v. Cerrato) to represent his son Mike, who doesn't remember what happened to her. The girl was Rye Seeger, casino host at the hotel. Skin evidence under her fingernails showed that she struggled with her attacker. Since Mike doesn't have any defensive wounds, Nick argued that someone else killed her.

A.D.A Cole (Teddy Sears) and A.D.A. Nicholson (Rob Belushi) are pushing for conviction on one count of murder in the second degree, stacking evidence against them and even allowing the case to be tried in public. Odds against their case goes from 20-to-one to 40-to-one,...

After lasts week’s serious episode, I was hoping The Defenders would focus more on humor with "Nevada v. Cerrato."

And it did. Sort of.

The start of the episode introduced Nick and Pete to a case concerning a man who owes six million dollars to a casino. Watching the two mock out the criminals and flip a coin to decide who will lead was amusing.

Pete and Nick clearly have chemistry. No, not the lovelorn relationship kind. Rather, it’s the competitive, brotherly, frat boy kind. These two are at their best when together and simply bantering.

The witty repartee continued as Nick revealed that he’s on a diet. Pete teases him about being angry and hungry, getting Nick to throw carrots at him. Although it really had nothing to do with either case of the episode, it was funny to see a slightly vulnerable side of Nick.

There's another player making inroads into the business of Internet distribution of mainstream films. Unlike many others, though, this time you can burn your downloads onto a disc and make backup copies.

Film Fresh struck a deal with DivX, and the two have pacts to sell movies from Paramount, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros. and Lionsgate.

Some of the titles available for about $16 apiece are "The Da Vinci Code," "Hancock," "3:10 to Yuma," "Spider-Man," "My Bloody Valentine" and the "Saw" and "Matrix" franchises.

There are about 200 million devices worldwide that can play DivX media, including DVD and Blu-ray players and PlayStation 3 consoles.

"We move content off the PC," said DivX content services director John Greene.

Once purchased, movies can be burned to as many DVDs as the customer wishes, but the DVDs can only be played on the device that is registered to the proper user.
