Gerhard Frei was born on 8 February 1911 in Breslau, Silesia, Germany [now Wroclaw, Dolnoslaskie, Poland]. He was an actor, known for Es geht nicht ohne Gisela (1951), Der Teufel vom Mühlenberg (1955) and Ware für Katalonien (1959). He was married to Irmgard Arnold. He died on 24 December 1989 in Berlin, Germany.
