- Daniel Ellsberg was born on April 7, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was an actor and writer, known for The Most Dangerous Man in America: Daniel Ellsberg and the Pentagon Papers (2009), The Education of Max Bickford (2001) and War on Whistleblowers: Free Press and the National Security State (2013). He was married to Patricia Ellsberg and Carol Cummings. He died on June 16, 2023 in Kensington, California, USA.

- Stole classified documents from the Pentagon concerning the Vietnam War, and leaked the information to The New York Times. Eventually caught after fleeing authorities, he was indicted, but the charges were dismissed in 1973 after it was discovered that Richard Nixon had authorized the break-in of Ellsberg's psychiatrist's office in an attempt to discredit Ellsberg. Leonard Weinglass was a member of Ellsberg's defense team.
