11 Cesar noms for 'Bon Voyage'
PARIS -- Jean-Paul Rappeneau's "Bon Voyage", France's candidate for a foreign-language Oscar nomination, picked up 11 nominations for the Cesar Awards, France's top film film honors. The nominees were announced Friday by Alain Terzian, president of the Academy of Cinema Arts and Techniques, whose 3,300 members make the selections. "Bon Voyage", a wartime drama of romance and political intrigue set in Paris in the 1940s, will vie for best film and best director among other categories. Alain Resnais' operetta "Pas Sur la Bouche" (Not on the Mouth) came a close second, with nine nominations including best film and best director. Comedian Darry Cowl, who plays a cross-dressing concierge, was nominated in the best supporting actor category for "Pas Sur la Bouche", along with Yvan Attal of "Bon Voyage".
