Karen Bralove

Karen Spigel Bralove is a Washington, DC native. She is a graduate of Holton-Arms School and Vassar College. Always active in theatre as a child, she starred as Phileas Fogg in Around the World in Eighty Days.
She studied acting with Valerie Ward in DC for many years and took dance from Roberta Fera along with Goldie Hawn. Later she studied acting with Joy Zinnoman at Studio Theatre.
She was a director and drama teacher at The Sidwell Friends for 24 years. Her students include: Jon Bernthal, Robin Weigert, Ana Gasteyer, Margaret Edson (playwright of "Wit") Ben Shenkman, Lauren Bowles. Her stage credits include appearances at Source Theatre, Studio Theatre, and Through the Fourth Wall including the world premiere of "19 The Musical" the story of Alice Paul and the struggle to pass the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. She was married to the late Dick Stilwell, also an actor.
