Did you use a guide for all 900 koroks?

That's quite an achievement and you did it so quick. How many hours have you logged?

Of course he used the guide. I don't think it's humanly possible to find them without a guide. I'm currently at 311 Koroks without a guide but 900? I don't think I will ever even attempt it but I would definitely need a guide. Maybe that mask that is coming out will make things easier but this game is massive so I think a guide just for the general area would be helpful. This game doesn't put any icons to let you know you found all of them in a certain area which makes it very difficult without a guide.

Well look at that, even more content in this game.....incredible.

I looked it up - Knight's Gear and Extravagant Gear. Unlocked by beating two mini-games. I've been to those places many times, not sure how I missed speaking to those NPCs.

Gonna see if I can bang these out after work today before Ramadan officially starts tonight at sunset.

Thanks!

The Knight horse gear is considerably harder to obtain than the Extravagent horse I found.

It took me quite a number of attempts before I was able to destroy 24+ targets in 1 minute.

I used the Giant Horse for the archery mini-game.

Completed:

DAy9UG-VYAELyZl.jpg:large

All horse sets obtained:

- Stable set
- Traveler's set (via Amiibo)
- Knight's set
- Extravagant set
- Royal set
- Monster set

The horse obstacle mini-game was relatively easy, you just need to go through the course at a steady pace.

The bow mini-game took me a few tries until I realized I should try my Great Eagle Bow for the multi-arrow shot + plus quick relase. It worked great. I got the bridle and saddle back to back.

Thanks for the heads up @-Sol-

For the last few seeds, I used a guide to pinpoint their specific location, but I found 99% of them on my own.

I didn't use a guide for the actual solving of the Korok seeds, just for the location of the last few.

Have logged a total of around 220 hours so far which rivals my playtime with Skyrim.

HowLongToBeat says it takes 159 hours to 100% complete the game but it took me a lot longer, probably due to so little horse travel and so much on-foot travel. 4 starring all Amiibo gear which requires a ton of star fragments that cannot be quickly farmed might have something to do with it also as well as a couple of occasions where I left my Switch in sleep mode for many hours.

Sleep mode doesn't count towards play time.

Way to go, Sol! That's amazing! When you first started, I thought I would try to get all 900 Korok seeds before hand, but only made it to 480-something before burning out! I knew it wasn't looking good when I got my 8-bit Link amiibo in the mail, and fully upgraded it (I already had the materials needed to max it out) I couldn't bring myself to do anything else. I just saved and turned it off :(

Hopefully I'll still be sharp enough for when the challenges come out!

I think what helped me strive for 100% completion with Breath of the Wild was the emotional journey I went through being on the cusp of permanent defection from the Nintendo brand before Breath of the Wild exceeded my review score benchmarks at the 11th hour to keep me on board as a Nintendo consumer, as well as the fact that I spent hundreds of dollars to get all of the Zelda Amiibo so I could use them in Breath of the Wild. Funnily enough, the one Amiibo I didn't use much at all in Breath of the Wild was Wolf Link. This is despite the fact that it was the sole reason I purchased and played Twilight Princess HD last year.

Climbing and swimming suck ass. Really is a missed opportunity to not have items that make these activities more engaging.

For example, a 4 starred Zora suit should control similar to the Zora form in Majora's Mask.

almost of the link amiibo are holding the master sword and hylian shield , master sword and hylian shield should be a drop for any link amiibos but super rare drop, for example 8bit should give you the master sword as 8bit mode from its area and hylian from its area

I've been stuck on 119 shrines for the last 20+ hours of gametime.

I have just been wandering around finding korok seeds and having no luck with this last shrine. I have 1 missing shrine quest so I'm guessing there is 1 person out there I haven't talked to.

I'm at around 185 hours of playtime and have 450 korok seeds.

I have my game plan for finishing this game. My goal is to do the more worthwhile content while avoiding as much filler as I can.

I have all the memories. Of course I'll do all the divine beasts. I holding off on the last two because I want something good to look forward to doing.

Since sidequests give you an idea of what you're doing, it makes it easier to filter out the crap. Any sidequest that say "bring me X _____" or "kill X enemies" is filler.

Shrines are trickier since you don't know what's inside. Some shrines make the Triforce Hunt from WW look like top tier game design. I'll definitely do all the shrine quest I find because those tend to be better.

I found some Major Tests of Strength shrines early on in the game that I couldn't do. I won't be returning to those because fighting the same robot over and over = filler.

I won't worry about fully upgrading all the gear. It's whole grindy design is filler. Luckily since I spend most of my time exploring, I've had the materials to upgrade shit upon finding the fountains. I would enjoy this mechanic more, but, outside the runes, most items are severely lacking in agency.

I don't mind doing korok seeds as I explore, but since they are so low quality gameplay I won't be seeking them out. Hunting down seeds sounds as fun as organizing a sock drawer.

I think with this approach I'll at least get the good stuff. At that point I'll feel good about moving on from this game.

You have to look around for them and then shoot them with your arrow.
So those specific Koroks make a specific sound? Would it mean having to climb trees and hills in the immediate area?

Yes the NFC tags are great. So cheap and I don't give a crap about having the actual amiibo. I just want the suits!

Edit: and fuck didn't realize I wasn't on the last page of the thread. My comment seems so out of place lmao

They make the same sounds as other ones. Yeah, they might appear in a tree or on a hill after you've hit the balloons or acorns. Without knowing the exact area you're at, it's impossible for me to be able to tell you. Can you give me the name of the location you are having trouble with?

It's normally around stables, I've noticed. Those are the ones I can't seem to locate. It's also tough to differentiate between a Korok I've found and one that I haven't, in terms of sounds (if I am exploring and not pulling up my map all the time).

I would like to continue playing Breath of the Wild but I have totally run out of things to do having recently 100%'d the game.

Do those overworld boss kills count even though blood moons bring them back?

It should, when they pop up and their name appears, it should show Defeated underneath (?) if you already killed it. I think so, it's actually been long enough that I can't remember!

Around 220 hours which is way slower than the HowLongToBeat average for a completionists.

I don't know why it took me 60 hours longer to 100% complete the game compared to the average play time for completionist gamers online. It could have been lack of horse travel or maybe these figures are not factoring in 4 starring Amiibo armor, i'm not sure.

That's one of the minigames that I gave up on after a few tries, considering I couldn't even get a double digit number of signs down. I will try playing the archery minigame with a giant horse too. I don't feel inclined on using a guide on this game yet though. Once all the DLC is dropped, I will make sure I go for the 100% completion even if I'd have to use a guide to do that. My WiiU isn't going anywhere considering my backlog, so I will be playing Breath of the Wild through 2018.

This is correct. Once a Stone Talus, Hinox and/or Molduga sub-boss is defeated, it remains defeated starred permanently regardless of Blood Moons.

Just finished exploring my final region, the most northern snow area. Before storming the castle I went back to the Plateau Tower to look around all that I had explored. 'Cause when I was first there I took a few minutes to just survey the land through the scope. Now, 200+ hours later, it's such an awesome feeling doing the same survey, and everything you experienced comes back to you.

So I have over 250 hours put in, 96 shrines complete all divine beasts, almost two full rows of hearts, maxed out stamina...yet I still can't bring myself to beat Ganon yet.
I've completed all the Shrine Quests, but for the life of me can't find any more shrines without delving into the internet and essentially "cheating".

Any hints on how to find the remaining 24 shrines?

I also managed to find and tame a horse that resembled Epona. This was near where you find the white horse. However, my first run-in with an Epona lookalike was beyond Dueling Peaks, on the way to the Hateno Tower, and...suffice to say, the horse ran itself off the side of the cliff and killed itself...

I just finished today with 116 shrines, I know how you feel, about spoilers. I know two of my missing ones are Eventide and the orb next to Impa one. I was SO thorough. I thought I scanned every inch of the map, so I can't understand how my shrine sensor didn't go off.

You'll have to try and remember if there is any area that you went over too quickly. Also there are a handfull of shrines you have to bomb the side of a wall to get to. There are also I think 3 of the giant maze ones. There are also shrines that only come out of the ground after completing side quests from NPC's or from that Rito with the acordian, he shows up in a handfull of places with an environmental puzzle. I can only remember 2 actually. That's probably what your missing most. The side quest shrines. Go to the bottom ocean village, there are a few along the coast.
