If you're thinking this all sounds a bit familiar, it's probably because the Heritage Collection bears a striking resemblance to the Assassin's Creed Anthology released last year. The difference between the two bundles is that the Heritage Collection comes without the extra DLC, pretty packaging and various extras of the Anthology edition. As a result, it's available for £39.99 / €50 as opposed to the Anthology's £119.99 / €150... which is quite a saving.
The next entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, will be available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC on October 29 in North America, October 31 in Australia and November 1 in Europe. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will be available when the consoles launch. Luke Karmali is IGN's UK Junior Editor. You too can revel in mediocrity by following him on IGN and on Twitter.
