Etan Vlessing has worked as a print and digital journalist and editor for 30 years, first in London as a financial reporter. Returning to Canada, he worked for the Financial Times of Canada and then as an entertainment journalist for Playback before joining The Hollywood Reporter as Canadian Bureau Chief. He graduated from the University of British Columbia and completed a masters degree in journalism at the City University in the UK. For THR, he covers the film, TV and digital sectors in Canada, based in Toronto, and contributes to the film and business sections.
