Ahead of her 55th birthday on July 24, the multi-hyphenate hosted the ultimate birthday bash at the Hamptons, where she has spent much of her summer.
People reported that the extravagant Bridgerton-themed affair was a massive undertaking that involved “trucks carrying furniture and flowers,” as well as “a horse trailer, valet, security, [and] waiters.” Page Six reported that guests were treated to a horse-drawn carriage.
Multiple guests arrived to the venue dressed to the nines in Regency-era attire, from floor-sweeping ball gowns to dresses with dramatic empire waistlines—including Lopez’s mom, Guadalupe Rodríguez, who was photographed in a sky-blue dress with white lace details. Notably missing from the event, however, was Lopez’s husband, Ben Affleck.

A source confirmed to People that Affleck did not participate in Lopez’s birthday festivities in the Hamptons this year. Meanwhile, Affleck has remained in Los Angeles, where he filmed The Accountant 2 earlier this year. Last week, the two spent their second wedding anniversary on opposite ends of the country.
Various outlets have reported on the couple’s alleged relationship issues, with sources coming forward to claim that different approaches to fame have spelled Bennifer’s downfall. However, another insider for People claims it’s not so straightforward. “The idea that Ben thinks Jennifer is too famous and that he didn’t know what he was getting into with the attention on their marriage isn’t true,” the source said. “There are deeper issues.”
