My name is Lesley and I simply love London! This wonderful, vibrant multicultural city is my home, my passion and just a fabulous place to spend time. What makes London special is the people, the way we live and our traditions and, of course, the spectacular architecture, world-class museums and galleries, great shopping, restaurants, theatres, parks and the grand old River Thames. A walking tour with me is the perfect way to experience the city, and tours can be tailored to suit your personal interests; perhaps Shakespeare, Dickens, Churchill, Royal London, Pubs or vibrant Street Art. I also specialise in tours of art galleries, including the National Gallery, Tate Britain and Tate Modern, museums such as the British Museum and the fascinating Churchill War Rooms, and unmissable sights such as Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral and the Tower of London. Samuel Johnson once said 'When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life', but in fact when visiting London it is nice to make some time to escape the hustle and bustle and visit some of the wonderful places within reach of the city. A visit to Stonehenge is unmissable, or perhaps you might wish to choose royal Windsor, elegant Bath, glorious Oxford, historic Canterbury or other interesting places such as Hampton Court, Blenheim Palace, Stratford-upon-Avon or the Cotswolds. I'd love to show you the highlights - but also the underexplored! I live in South East London and love this part of town - maritime Greenwich, pretty Blackheath Village, lively Brixton Market, leafy Dulwich and Eltham Palace are all very special places to visit. There is always something new to discover in this wonderful city!
