Hotel at a Glance: Tuscany Suites & Casino

Set two blocks from the Las Vegas Strip, Tuscany Suites & Casino channels the rustic elegance of Northern Italy—and then amps it up to Vegas proportions. Guests enjoy sumptuous accommodations on 27 landscaped acres dotted with enough pools, fountains, and gardens to make Tuscany proud. But you don't have to leave the property to find top-flight dining and live entertainment.

  • Where you'll stay: The hotel's handsome suites come with complimentary Wi-Fi and plenty of space to spread out; each unit has a dining room, sitting area, and large bathroom with separate shower and tub.
  • Try your luck in the casino, where you'll find more than 800 slot machines, as well as table games and a sports book bar.
  • Onsite dining: The resort has four dining options. Try hearty Italian food at Tuscany Gardens or hit up the other eateries for all-day breakfast and casual bites. Pub 365 showcases one of Las Vegas's largest craft-beer selections, where 365 available craft beers are paired with small plates, artisan burgers, and fresh salads.
  • Relax with a dip in one of two swimming pools, including a lagoon-style pool.
  • Entertainment venues host live music and a tribute to the Rat Pack.
  • Wake up at Caffé Bottega, which serves Stumptown Coffee.

Beyond the Las Vegas Strip: Old Vegas and Red Rock Canyon

It can feel like the entire city of Las Vegas revolves around the Strip if you never venture beyond that neon-lit corridor. But there’s plenty to see and do once you step off Las Vegas Boulevard. You can find a taste of Old Vegas on Fremont Street, where vintage signs and showgirls crowned with headdresses recall the days of Sinatra and Martin. Beginning at dusk, a canopy of more than 12 million LED lights erupts in a psychedelic light-and-music show every hour. For an aerial view, zoom down the center of Fremont Street on a zipline.

Nature puts on its own show at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, a landscape of fiery-red sandstone formations and limestone cliffs just 17 miles outside the city. Motor down the 13-mile scenic drive or ditch the car and strike out on any of more than 20 hiking trails that course through the region’s otherworldly topography.

Such a wonderful place to stay. Food is great we ate at Marilyn’s, enjoyed the pool, and the little convenience store/gift store. Room is spacious and has a refrigerator.

We enjoyed our experience there thoroughly. Everything we wanted was there for enjoyment, and the staff was very nice to deal with. It was a nice location in Las Vegas.

I love Tuscany Suites, but service after hours for guests outside is nonexistent I love Tuscany. I love that it's not a high rise and is off the strip. The room sizes are more than adequate and the maid service is top notch. The casino is a casino- the usual suspects of machines that you see in pretty much every casino in Vegas. My biggest issue is with the lack of service for guests who sit outside the pool area after hours and how early the lounge closes, pushing you to get a drink at 365 OR inside the casino where you might just drop a few pennies in a slot machine-it's too manipulative. If they would just have one cocktail waitress come outside and take drink orders, there'd be a little more revenue happening outside. Also, if you book, request building K or L but NOT J! While the rooms are all the same, the access to the side parking lot next to J (and near the casino) is a long walk and the wall against the parking lot forces you to either take the short staircase at either end of the walkway by building J. If they would cut a short staircase in between that long walkway, it would make accessing the parking lot OR your rooms better and easier for someone with limited mobility. All in all, a good experience, I've stayed at Tuscany for the last 4 visits and being a block or two from the strip really helps keep things quiet. Guests are usually older (35-60) so it's not loud or crazy-which I like. The food at Marilyn's is basic but good; the food at 365 is good but it's sports themed so the music or the television is always too loud for you to "chill" and the Botegga is my favorite place to catch a quick bite and a coffee. I haven't tried the steakhouse yet but hopefully will visit the next time I'm there.

Tuscany Paradise Great resort. Love that the pool is not always full and getting a chair is possible. Great restaurants and spacious rooms.

Non Accommodating Front Desk Person and Drilling at almost midnight I asked to extend my stay by one day ( I was there for 5 nights) The front desk person did not even try to help as he said my current room was already booked. When I asked if they could switch me, one day in advance of my departure, he said NO. Check out of your room by 11 and book another stay and check in at 3:30. My last night I was a little frustrated and decided just to head out early instead of staying another day. That was fine until 11:30 at night when the maintenance people started working on the room across from me and started DRILLING!!!! They were working on the door at almost midnight. When I checked in everyone was polite and helpful once it was time to leave then I felt like they couldn't care less about my stay. It's too bad because I think the hotel is really nice but this is the second time I had an issue.
