Dusan Senkypl

Chief Executive Officer

Dusan Senkypl has joined Groupon as Interim CEO from Pale Fire Capital, Groupon’s largest shareholder that holds nearly 22% of shares outstanding. Pale Fire is an entrepreneurial investment firm with ~$1 billion in AUM and two established investment strategies in technology private equity and a global macro hedge fund. Its private equity portfolio includes ~30 B2C and marketplace companies. Dusan co-founded Pale Fire Capital in 2015 and serves as Chairman and CEO. In conjunction with his appointment to Groupon CEO, Dušan will be stepping down from day-to-day responsibilities at Pale Fire Capital. On May 7, 2024, Dusan was appointed permanent CEO.

Dusan is an entrepreneur by trade. Prior to Pale Fire, Dusan created several global ecommerce and technology projects used by more than 250 million users. He built ePojisteni.cz and NetBrokers Holding, a dominant fintech player with more than 500 employees, which was bought by a German media group, Bauer Media, in 2018. He enjoys sports and dedicates a portion of his time to non-profit projects.

Jiri Ponrt

Chief Financial Officer

Jiri Ponrt has joined Groupon from Pale Fire Capital, Groupon’s largest shareholder, where he served as a Partner CFO. Prior to Pale Fire, Jiri served as CFO at Alza.cz, one of the largest e-commerce players in Central and Eastern Europe, where he helped grow the business to an annual turnover of $2 billion. In addition, he spent 15 years at Danone/Nutricia, where he gained extensive experience both in a variety of financial and commercial roles. Jiri has a proven track record as Finance Director, Sales Director, and Trade & Category Manager where he managed multi channel businesses in E-commerce, fast-moving consumer goods, Pharmaceuticals and services.

Barbara Weisz

Senior Vice President, Sales

Barbara Weisz has overseen our Sales functions in International since 2020 and is now leading the Global Supply Organization. Barbara joined Groupon in January 2010 as part of the European founding team. She has held numerous Operations and Sales leadership roles during her tenure, and has been involved in countless projects, from launching European country markets to global marketing, to building out and scaling global shared service centers. Prior to joining Groupon, Barbara spent nine years at eBay in a variety of marketing roles in Canada and France, as well as leading their International CRM team in Zurich.

Vojtech Rysanek

Chief Technology Officer

Vojtech Rysanek joined Groupon in 2022 after serving as the CTO for the Czech auction platform AUKRO. He has years of experience in software engineering, architecture and team leadership for various tech companies in Czechia, Austria and Switzerland. He leads our global Engineering organization with Agile methodologies, an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong focus on our performance and efficiency transformation.

Dane Drobny

Outside General Counsel

Dane Drobny has served as our Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since July 2014. Dane oversees Groupon’s entire global human resources and legal functions, which includes commercial, corporate security, employment and compliance, government affairs, immigration, information security, intellectual property, litigation, privacy, regulatory reporting and risk. Prior to joining Groupon, he was Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Sears Holdings Corporation and he spent 17 years at the international law firm of Winston & Strawn LLP, most recently as a partner.

Emma Coleman

VP of Communications, Engagement & Inclusion

Emma has been with Groupon in various roles since 2012, she now leads Groupon’s Global Communications function. Emma is responsible for all aspects of communications, engagement and inclusion, including strategy and messaging, media relations, communications agency governance, crisis and issues management, and internal communications. Her team works both across the organization and externally to elevate Groupon’s engagement with all stakeholders. Previous to Groupon Emma was with Bite Communications as an Associate Director, working on clients including Facebook, Samsung, Gallup and Symantec.

Senior Vice President, Revenue

Branislav Majorsky joined Groupon from Slevomat, a Czech online platform for local services and experiences, very similar to Groupon, where he was part of a turnaround from the negative post-COVID revenue trajectory to its most successful and profitable year in history. He has a diverse range of experience from various project management, finance, analytics, and commercial roles which helps him drive Groupon’s revenue and commercial strategy.

Interim Senior Vice President, Global Operations

Adam Lindsey has significantly transformed the company's customer service and operational strategies since joining as a Customer Service Agent in 2011. Rising through various roles to his current position, Adam has been instrumental in integrating automation into customer service, centralizing global customer service operations into a language-agnostic setup, streamlining processes and improving efficiency. Adam has developed effective strategies for managing peak season customer service demands, ensuring high customer satisfaction through thorough preparation and continuous monitoring. Additionally, he continues to explore and scale AI technologies into the Groupon ecosystem to curated experiences, aiming to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty. His leadership has been pivotal in making Groupon's Global Operations organization more efficient and responsive to global demands.

Chief Operations Officer

Filip Popovic has been at forefront of our transformation journey since joining Groupon in December 2022 as SVP of Transformation, Product, and HR. Now in the pivotal role of Chief Operations Officer, he plays a key part in not only leading our organizational transformation but also in harnessing our product-led growth potential. Filip brings with him to Groupon a rich and diverse background that spans across various sectors, including Private Equity, Venture Capital Funds, and large publicly traded companies such as Alphabet Inc. and Gen digital (formerly known as Avast). With his expertise and experience, he is steering our initiatives and ensuring that our team is equipped to drive the company's evolution and growth in the most effective and efficient manner.

Senior Vice President of Corporate Development & Investor Relations

Rana Kashyap joins Groupon from investment firm RPD Management Fund, where he served as Director of Research. He’s also held leadership positions at companies such as Danaher Corporation, Maini Group and JP Morgan Chase.

Marie Havlickova

Senior Vice President of Strategy

Before joining Groupon in September 2022, Marie Havlickova made her mark at Slevomat, a Groupon-like business in the Czech Republic. During her tenure at Slevomat, she assumed various roles as a City Manager and Head of E-commerce division, ultimately reaching the pinnacle of leadership as the CEO in 2014. Her mission was to guide Slevomat through a transformation towards becoming an experiential marketplace, and she also led the company during its acquisition by Secret Escapes in 2017. Now, in her role as SVP of Strategy at Groupon, she brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective gained from leading the local marketplace.

Zdenek Linc is a seasoned marketing leader with a strong track record of establishing and guiding high-performance teams to drive growth in fast-paced business environments. From founding the marketing department at Slevomat, to leading the performance marketing team at Rohlik and aiding its expansion in Central and Eastern Europe, he has unique experience in working with B2B technology startups and effectively merging marketing strategies with data and product insights to meet key performance indicators. After joining Groupon as a consultant in October 2022, Zdenek is now leading the company's global marketing operations as Chief Marketing Officer
