okay, not to be dramatic but i would bargain my soul to every one of the fates to be able to live in a world where caraval games existed.
there is nothing quite like the amazement and sensational wonder of these books. i just want to crawl into the pages and spend the rest of my days enthralled by the legendary magic of this story. i will admit this was much slower and more character driven than ‘caraval’ but the enchantment was just as present. i love stories that make me second guess what i know and think, and this captivated me from the first pages (it picks up immediately where the first book ends). and rather than being just a simple caraval game, everything gets so much more complicated - the stakes are higher, new forces are in play, and the truth is more hidden than the identity of legend himself. this was truly an experience and cant wait to see how the story ends in the next book!

I haven’t even read Caraval but I own it and I’ve seen your updates the last couple of days. You convinced me to buy Legenday in hopes that I’ll love this series as much as you haha.
im still working on writing a review thats beyond my initial reaction, but i really have nothing negative to say about this series. i devoured 'caraval' in one sitting - i loved it that much. and while the writing in 'caraval' made it feel like it could have been a standalone to me, 'legendary' was very much working towards a plot beyond this book. both were amazing, just different vibes. i think i prefer 'caraval,' but i know a lot of people think this book was even better. so i hope you enjoy them both, gaby!! <3
Thank you! I’m really hoping I’ll love these too. I guess I can always return legendary lol. But I love carnival plots. They’re really whimsical and fun.
gaby - yay! cant wait to see what you think. and i completely agree!! i wish there were more carnival/circus books out there because i absolute adore the stories! monica - ohhhh. hopefully!! i can understand how not everyone would enjoy these, but i really hope they end up growing on you!! :)
Hmmm... Caraval was a 2-star read for me and I decided not to continue with this series. But I do love your enthusiasm and I am always glad when a book/series that didn't work for me brings such joy to other people. Also, dramatic reviews are the bestest!
If you find a way to do it, please let me in on the secret okay?
ana - awww. i am completely and totally biased about this book. i will pretty much love any book that has a carnival/circus theme, so my opinion is not very objective. however, i can see how this story wouldnt be for everyone and im sorry it didnt work out for you. :( kaya - hahaha. of course!! ;)
AAAH I really want to read this I've been dying to since I finished Caraval--my local bookstores literally has only Finale, isn't that evil?
