Does anyone know what happened to this? Close probably isn’t going to win for Hillbilly now (though I’m still predicting her because I don’t have the guts to predict Seyfried yet)…

Since Boseman will be in lead, maybe. I can’t wait to see Dance—then we might really know. But for now, I think Odom Jr. is, somewhat disappointingly, the frontrunner. I didn’t love the film, though (I thought it was just good), and I still have to see On the Rocks (and Da 5 Bloods).

That is a strong recommendation! I just re-watched the trailer; I remember not getting round to seeing it in theatres (thinking, “Oh, I must see that!”). It’s going to the top of my list!

All of my friends hated it, but I loved it! I had to give it something. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who feels that way.

I am a fan of La La Land, but I tried to spread the wealth. Queen of Katwe is such an under-seen gem. This was a very good, very diverse year for film!
