Does anyone know what happened to this? Close probably isn’t going to win for Hillbilly now (though I’m still predicting her because I don’t have the guts to predict Seyfried yet)…

David Walters replied to the topic Oscars 2021 Predictions: Best Supporting Actor in the forum Movies 4 years ago
Since Boseman will be in lead, maybe. I can’t wait to see Dance—then we might really know. But for now, I think Odom Jr. is, somewhat disappointingly, the frontrunner. I didn’t love the film, though (I thought it was just good), and I still have to see On the Rocks (and Da 5 Bloods).

1995 (so probably some repeats, and in no particular order):
Bad Boys
A Goofy Movie
Batman Forever
Pocahontas
Babe
Seven
Toy Story
Jumanji
Richard III
Dead Man WalkingHonorable Mention as the only other film from 1995 that I have seen but didn’t like much: Clueless.
I need to catch up on films from my birth year.

Here I suspect I am in the minority again, but I love Jojo Rabbit. It is the film from last year that I have seen the most, and it makes me happy every time. Honey Boy deserved more awards attention. I should mention that I haven’t seen Judy yet. Marriage Story and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood were both just-misses in Picture, and I should…

Sorry, I fell behind! I hope it’s okay that I’m posting my winners so late. I am loving the updates to the old ceremonies! It always annoys me how they covered multiple years in the beginning with the eligibility period…
I tried to right category fraud in this year, but I had to nominate Chalamet. I love all the mentions of Tyree Henry! He was…

Coco was a film that was made for me. I had to give it Best Picture. I cry every time. I have not seen Call Me by Your Name yet, but I am planning to soon. I absolutely love all of my winners, though. I think this is the first time where every single category had a different winner for me (granted, it is only the main categories).
2017:

That is a strong recommendation! I just re-watched the trailer; I remember not getting round to seeing it in theatres (thinking, “Oh, I must see that!”). It’s going to the top of my list!

All of my friends hated it, but I loved it! I had to give it something. I’m so glad I’m not the only one who feels that way.

I am a fan of La La Land, but I tried to spread the wealth. Queen of Katwe is such an under-seen gem. This was a very good, very diverse year for film!
