Fans of James Martin's ITV show took to social media to express their disappointment over the repeat episode of Saturday Morning that was broadcast this weekend. The popular TV chef, aged 52, had comedian Dom Joly on the show, alongside Formula One's Karun Chandhok and fellow chefs Atul Kochhar and Sabrina Gidda.

Dom Joly, 56, featured on the culinary programme to chat about his latest work, 'The Conspiracy Tourist', which delves into the Trigger Happy TV star's encounters with conspiracy theorists across the globe.

Yet, the episode left audiences divided, with some viewers going as far as to call it "unwatchable" reports the Express.

A disgruntled viewer posted on Twitter: "Saturday morning, my good lady wife's taken the grandsprog shopping, I can sit back in peace and quiet with a pint of coffee and watch @sat_jamesmartin on the box. It's a repeat but no worries. Turn it on, and the guest is Dom Jolly, the only unwatchable episode ever made."

Another chimed in with: "I never found Dom funny even in his 'peak' time when he had a giant mobile phone and he screamed into it."

Yet, there were also some praise amongst the comments for the episode. One fan shared: "Dom Joly joshing with James Martin on ITV. Two highly beloved individuals with long lines of people prepared to share stories of just what nice blokes they are in real life."

This comes in the wake of James narrating his frightening experience where a massive explosion caused his house to catch fire. Guest appearing on Simon Rimmer's Grilling podcast, James gave a chilling account of how his DIY Italian pizza oven led to a dangerous fire.

Recounting the incident, the chef said: "I set my side of my house on fire. That was a good one because... I mean, I love builders and particularly... a certain group of Irish builders, who are fantastic, that decided to build an Italian pizza oven roof. Instead of having metal, [they] built it out of wood, which is quite handy."

"Next minute, there was an almighty bang. It was like, honestly, it was [a] huge explosion, and you get bits of lamb chops, pork chops, sausages flying over the top of this house. It was massive."

Luckily, the incident didn't result in any injuries. James Martin's Saturday Morning continues next Saturday at 9.30am on ITV.
