Andy Murray has played his last Wimbledon match after Emma Raducanu pulled out of their scheduled mixed doubles match on Saturday.

Judy Murray has spoken out after Emma Raducanu pulled out of the mixed doubles, ending Andy Murray’s Wimbledon career early.

The 37-year-old was given a touching farewell ceremony by the All England Club on Thursday following his defeat in the men’s doubles alongside his brother Jamie.

But Murray was still set to play in more event at Wimbledon after signing up for the mixed doubles.

He reached out to Raducanu earlier this week to ask whether she would be interested in teaming up at Wimbledon.

The 21-year-old’s team were said to have had some reservations, but Murray said she responded immediately to accept the offer.

The British pair were scheduled last on Court One on Saturday.

However, it was announced on Saturday that Raducanu had withdrawn from the mixed doubles match.

“Unfortunately I woke up with some stiffness in my right wrist this morning so therefore I have decided to make the very tough decision to withdraw from the mixed doubles tonight,” she said.

“I’m disappointed as I was really looking forward to playing with Andy but got to take care.”

Under tournament rules, Murray was unable to find a replacement partner.

That ultimately brought his Wimbledon career to an abrupt end and his mother, Judy, gave her thoughts online.

Replying to the breaking news surrounding Raducanu's withdrawal, Judy bluntly wrote: "Yes, astonishing."

Raducanu underwent surgery on both her wrists last year, which saw her miss more than seven months of the season.

She made her comeback in Australia this year and has slowly been making progress on and off the court.

But the grasscourt season is where the British tennis star has been able to rediscover her best form.

She reached lost to the eventual champion in both Nottingham and Eastbourne and is through to the fourth round of Wimbledon after beating Maria Sakkari on Friday.

The 21-year-old is set to face qualifier Lulu Sun on Sunday for a place in the quarter-finals.

But Murray will now have to turn his focus to the Paris Olympics, which will be his final event before retiring.
