LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Last Fourth of July, the Sphere said “hello world” for the first time. Since that first display, the Sphere has lit up the Las Vegas and is now illuminated 24 hours a day 7 days a week celebrating holidays, welcoming big name performers, and promoting major events like F1 and the Super Bowl.

To celebrate one year of the Sphere, the venue is celebrating the Fourth of July with the launch of a new feature. Everything displayed on the exosphere is now accompanied by music. Both “XO Audio” and “XO Stream” began at “Sphere Fourth of July Celebration” and is now running 24/7 moving forward. You can listen anywhere on this stream: The Sphere Stream

How loud is it in person? It is meant to project to the parking lot.

As the Sphere celebrates the one-year anniversary of the Xosphere’s first illumination, winners of the inaugural student design challenge were revealed.

A ceremony to celebrate the Clark County-based students whose artwork was chosen both by the general public and by a panel of judges was held before the Sphere Fourth of July show.

The winning students were there to celebrate with their families. The ceremony concluded with the debut of the winning students’ art on the exosphere and eight winners receiving scholarships up to $10,000.
