Where To Enjoy Olympic Cocktails And Treats In London

The 2024 Paris Olympics begins this Friday, bringing together fans from around the world to watch the incredible games in action. If you aren’t planning to head to France for the big event but find yourself in nearby United Kingdom, many of London’s bars and restaurants are gearing up for the sporting event with specialty cocktails, Olympic-themed pastries and celebrations.

Here are some of the best drinks, desserts and menus to enjoy in London in honor of the Olympic Games.

An Opening Night Celebration And Treats At La Petite Maison

Mayfair’s French Riviera-inspired restaurant, La Petite Maison (LPM), will have a large opening night celebration on June 26 to honor of the beginning of the Olympic Games. The restaurant is bringing The Troubadours, a French party band, to celebrate the evening with tunes and dancing to get into the Olympic excitement. Throughout the entire month, La Petite Maison will also serve a limited edition Olympic-themed cheesecake adorned with Olympic rings, alongside a cocktail made exclusively with French spirits.

Micro Olympics At Roof East

If you can’t make it on the Eurostar to nearby Paris, Roof East is hosting their own micro version of the games on July 27. Fun activities, ranging from mini basketball to toothpick javelin, will be available for visitors to take part in. Those looking to partake in the festivities can compete alone or individually to win a prize of free prosecco. In addition, Roof East will be playing the real Olympic Games on flat-screen TVs throughout the competition.

Limited Edition Olympic Cocktails At Paper Moon

Italian restaurant, Paper Moon, has launched a limited edition cocktail menu with cocktails inspired by each continent. On the menu you’ll find Europe, Africa, America, Asia and Oceania, which are intended to bring the spirit of the Olympic Games alive through handcrafted cocktails. The restaurant is located inside the newly-opened Raffles at The OWO and is a spin off of the original namesake Milan restaurant.

An Olympic Games-Inspired Afternoon Tea At The Savoy

In partnership with Nyetimber, a sponsor of Team Great Britian in the Paris 2024 Olympics, The Savoy has debuted an exclusive afternoon tea menu. The tea experience celebrates the Games with elevated British classics, ranging from pickled cucumber and mint cream sandwiches to Flavors of Peach Melba, a new take on a dessert that was invented at the hotel in the 1890s. All the treats in the tea are paired with a choice of Nyetimber classic cuvée or rośe.

An Olympics Feast At Balthazar

French restaurant Balthazar has debuted a new Olympic-inspired menu with limited edition cocktails and dishes inspired from destinations around the world. While enjoying five menu options inspired by the five Olympic rings, diners can toast with cocktails inspired by each of the three winning medals. Regardless, everyone will leave the feast a winner.

Olympic Decor And Cocktails At German Gymnasium

With Olympic-themed decorations adorning German Gymnasium, the restaurant is a lovely spot to revel in the spirit of the games. For the duration of the Olympics, they’ll also be serving up The Olympian, a cocktail made from saffron-infused Tanqueray, jasmine syrup, lemon juice, italicus and a rose-infused tonic.


An Olympic Dessert At Quaglinos

Quaglinos has debuted a festive Olympic-themed desert in honor of the 2024 Paris Olympics. The restaurant launched The Flame, a flaming daiquiri made with berries, Havana 3, lime juice, sugar, thyme and rum, in honor of the Games. They’ll also be shaking up a special signature cocktail inspired by the Olympic motto ‘Cities, Altius, Fortius’. The drink is served with a flame, playing ode to the Olympic torch, and has Remi Martin Cognac, apricot brandy, plum and fig cordial, yellow chartreuse liquor and sparkling shandy.

Olympic Cocktails At Mr Foggs

In collaboration with Grey Goose L’Original Vodka, Mr Fogg’s bars around London will be serving up a menu of Olympian elixirs. A couple of cocktail highlights include the Record Breaker, a combination of Grey Goose Vodka, pineapple juice, black raspberry liqueur, lime juice and orange liqueur, and the Torchbearer’s Treasure, which contains Grey Goose Vodka, basil and elderflower cordial, tonic water and Nardini Acqua di Cedro liquer. The drinks will be available until August 11.

Dine On Bacchanalia’s Set Olympia Lunch Menu

Mayfair restaurant Bacchanalia will celebrate the Olympics with the ultimate Olympian-inspired menu. Available throughout the summer, the menu is inspired by the wonders of Hera, queen of the gods. Dishes are tied to the tradition of sharing and include options like a selection of Greek dips, an aubergine schnitzel with black garlic mayo and a sea bream with fresh tomatoes and lemon oil sauce. Cocktails inspired by the Greek gods and goddesses, Demeter, Eros and Theia, will also be available to help enhance the experience.

Live Screenings, Sips and Snacks At 11 Cadogan Gardens

If you’re looking to catch the games in a quiet, outdoor haven, you’ll want to head over to 11 Cadogan Gardens. The boutique hotel has a luxe Sport and Sip Garden, which includes a tailored drink menu with an assortment of summer spritzes, alongside some delicious nibbles. The cozy space will be streaming the Olympics and other sporting events for the duration of the summer.

Dine On The Go For Gold Menu At Brasserie Zédel

Until Sunday August 11, Brasserie Zédel will offer diners the ‘Go For Gold’ menu to celebrate the Paris Olympics. The two course set menu consists of a starter and main and is designed to be enjoyed in 45 minutes. Popular dishes from the restaurant, including Quiche Florentine, steak haché et frites (steak with fries) and saumon poché au concombre (poached salmon with cucumber), are available as part of the experience.
