Official Trailer for Wacky Comedy 'Free LSD' from Rock Band OFF!

"A band on a mission. A door to another dimension." Buffalo 8 has launched the official trailer for a rock comedy called Free LSD, which is not really abut How To Get Free LSD, unfortunately. This wacky, weird punk creation is from a a rock band called OFF!, and it's the feature directorial debut from one of the band members - Dimitri Coats (ex-Burning Brides). Alas they are taking an "indefinite hiatus" after a few shows coming up this month. The "breaking up" tour with the band will also include screenings of this film Free LSD showing with a Q&A and other surprises (before it hits VOD). "Sometimes putting the band together is a matter of life and death." This new film is an oddball sci-fi comedy about AI & multiverses. An elderly sex shop owner’s attraction to a younger woman leads him to an erectile dysfunction doctor whose treatment reveals an alluring but treacherous alternate reality. It features an ensemble cast with Keith Morris, Dimitri Coats, Autry Fulbright II, DH Peligro, Chelsea Debo, David Yow, James Duval, Barry Del Sherman, Dana Gould, Chris D., Chloe Dykstra, and special appearance by Jack Black (who makes it into this trailer, too). This all looks properly wacky & sci-fi strange more than acid psychedelic. Seems like a fun rock band movie.

The Free LSD film follows the story of Keith (played by Keith Morris), an elderly sex shop owner who falls for a younger woman visiting his store looking for a gift. When their relationship turns physical, Keith's failure to perform leads him to a strange erectile dysfunction doctor who offers hope in the form of an experimental drug. The experience gives Keith much more than just renewed manhood. It also provides a glimpse into a parallel universe where he is not only the singer of the band OFF!, but also the target of an advanced AI species that will stop at nothing to prevent the group from making a new album, which holds the key to an awakening of human consciousness. Free LSD is written and directed by OFF!'s frontman / actor / filmmaker Dimitri Coats, making his feature directorial debut with this after a few other music videos previously. Produced by Kurt Kittleson with co-producer Gill Gayle and executive producer Anthony Kiedis. This initially premiered at the 2023 Slamdance Film Festival. The film will debut on VOD starting August 9th, 2024. Free LSD will also tour to screenings with OFF! around California, New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Oakland, and Boston throughout what's left of July. For more info, visit the film's official site.
