Fendi Selleria Since 1925
In 1925, Adele Casagrande and her husband Edoardo Fendi opened the first Fendi boutique in Rome. It was there that Selleria was born – taught to the couple by the Eternal City's master saddlers to create Fendi’s very first line of bags.
In fact, the word Selleria comes from the Italian for saddle.
Nearly a century later, Fendi artisans still perform Selleria stitching entirely by hand across the Maison's signature Cuoio Romano leather to craft new bag styles as well as an embellishment on ready-to-wear.
