King Charles unveiled his new portrait this week and there are some details you might have missed, according to a royal expert.
The large vivid portrait depicts the monarch in a bright red uniform of the Welsh Guards against a background of similar colours.
Pauline MacLaran, royal commentator and author, analysed the meanings behind the offbeat painting.

"The red background for me symbolises both this passion and the dangerously overheating planet that is threatening so many species as well as ourselves."

MacLaran, author of Royal Fever: The British Monarchy in Consumer Culture, said the portrait shows the King as a "protector".
She said: "The monarch butterfly on this shoulder signifies the King as protector.
"The artist has painted a very sympathetic portrait, depicting Charles as gentle but determined.
"I realise there are many other interpretations and this is an excellent feature of the portrait that engages people and the media in speculating on the artistic intent."

The portrait was painted by Jonathan Yeo, who is also known for his depictions of Tony Blair, Sir David Attenborough, and Malala Yousafzai.
An amused Queen Camilla commented on the new painting, remarking to Yeo: "Yes, you've got him."
It was commissioned three years earlier than that to celebrate the then-Prince of Wales' 50 years as a member of The Drapers' Company.
It depicts His Majesty wearing the uniform of the Welsh Guards, of which he was made Regimental Colonel in 1975.
