“Peter & Autumn have requested privacy and compassion for their children while the family continues to adapt to these changes.”

It is thought, however, one of them will move to another property on the royal estate.

Peter’s mum Princess Anne also lives on the estate with her husband Sir Timothy Laurence.

The Princess Royal lives in a Grade II-listed manor house set within some 730-acres of parkland.

His sister Zara Tindall and husband Mike also reside at the estate with their daughters Mia and Lena.

Gatcombe has been the home of the Princess Royal since 1976, when it was bought privately by the Queen for her and her then-husband, Mark.

The Queen bought the rural property from the former Home Secretary Lord Butler of Saffron Walden.

The Gatcombe Park estate is famous in the horse and eventing world for hosting many of the sport’s annual events.
