In this episode Nicolas updates listeners on their new Ryzen 3600 + Geforce 1660ti based 2020 build and what went into the hardware selection. Nicolas is now experiencing buyers remorse due to being CPU bound in the context of flight sim.  Having chosen AMD and an x570 motherboard, though, Nicolas is choosing to commit to AMD for a future upgrade to The Ryzen 5000 series along with a 2000 or 3000 series Nvidia GPU when hardware availability and budget permit. Nicloas continues by talking about their recent experience with X-Plane 11 and The FlightFactor A350. While Nicolas was impressed by X-Plane 11 itself, they were less than impressed with The FlightFactor A350. Based on this experience and prior experience with the Xcrafts E175 V2, Nicolas is hesitant to invest more in add ons for the platform. Thinking ahead, Nicolas is waiting till their hardware improves before moving to P3Dv5 as their next primary platform along with Microsoft Flight Sim 2020 being their preference for their next secondary platform ; despite the sim market's performance. Nicolas concludes by talking about their struggle for v4 optimization on their recent build, the failure of their second set of CH Product Pro Pedals and the flight control configuration implications that are leading to a forthcoming move to The Thrustmaster T.1600M stick and throttle (no rudder pedal selection yet).
