In fact, in just one night in BKFC, ‘Platinum’ almost matched his total income from fifteen fights in the UFC!

In his last fight in the BKFC, Mike Perry squared off against fellow UFC fighter, Thiago Alves. Alves was returning to the BKFC after a gap of almost three years since his victory over Uly Diaz. However, in the first round itself, Perry delivered a TKO after a raging left hook caught Alves. As per former UFC champion Demetrius Johnson, Mike Perry earned $600,000 which is more than what some “champions in the UFC” make. Before Alves, Perry had faced fellow UFC fighters Eddie Alvarez and Luke Rockhold.

Although Luke Rockhold landed some good shots on Perry, the latter just kept going for more. Finally, in the second round, Rockhold understood he had enough. In this fight, Perry earned somewhere around $250,000. But, against Eddie Alvarez, Perry earned more than four times the figure he made against Rockhold with $1.1 Million in one night, exposing the wide gap between UFC and BKFC as far as remuneration was concerned.

Dana White’s payouts for Mike Perry fall way below BKFC in comparison

It is always entertaining when two former UFC fighters face one another in the BKFC. It was the same when Mike Perry and Eddie Alvarez shared the spot in December last year. Although Alvarez looked technically superior to Mike Perry, the latter survived due to his endurance. Additionally, while Alvarez threw combinations, Perry was quite inaccurate with his swings. However, he won via TKO, as Alvarez’s corner called it a day after the second round.

According to MMA Uncensored, for the fight against Eddie Alvarez, ‘Platinum’ made $1.1 million, which is very close to the $1.3 million he earned from 15 fights in the UFC! Think about that. However, this is not it for Perry, who believes he can defeat Jake Paul at Amalie Arena in Tampa. As per his interview with MMA Fighting, Perry has signed an unimaginable deal with BKFC.

Mike Perry signs an even bigger deal with BKFC!

Having moved to BKFC, Mike Perry has realized that he truly enjoys boxing and wants to continue the art. So, Perry, as of now, has no plans to return to MMA and has decided to “stick with them [BKFC].” “I do really enjoy the boxing and having learned to deal with the bare-knuckle aspect of boxing, already having experience with it and stepping in there a few times against some good fighters,” said Mike Perry.

On the other hand, impressed by Perry, the BKFC does not want to let go of ‘Platinum’ either. So, they made an offer to Perry he could not refuse. Speaking to MMA Fighting, Perry revealed, “I have to say they put about $8 million on contract.” So definitely, there is no desire to return to the UFC for Perry right now.
