News: 9 hours agoChase (not injury-related/rest) was listed as limited at practice Thursday, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Spin: Back-to-back practice appearances, in any capacity, on the part of Chase -- who is seeking a new contract with the Bengals -- are no doubt a positive sign, but according to Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer, at this stage coach Zac Taylor won't confirm whether Chase is expected to play in Sunday's season opener against the Patriots. With that in mind, Conway notes that the Bengals and Chase are taking this "day-to-day" in the hopes of working something out before the end of the week.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Chase starts his fourth pro season with the Bengals looking to boost his numbers with a healthy Joe Burrow back running the offense. Chase averaged 16.4 fantasy PPG, down from the 20.0 PPG he registered in 2022 (WR3). However, Chase still posted five games with 20 or more points, including the 52.2-point performance in Week 5 versus the Cardinals. Chase has totaled 29 touchdowns in his career and is one the league's premier players at the position due to his big-play ability and upper-tier play strength. Lock him in as a top 10 player overall in fantasy this season.
