News: 2 days agoClarkson (rest) has been ruled out of Saturday's preseason game against the Spurs, Sarah Todd of The Deseret News reports.

Spin: Clarkson will get a scheduled day of rest as the club is expected to take an extended look at Johnny Juzang and Svi Mykhailiuk. Clarkson's next chance to feature will come Tuesday against the Kings.

ESPN Fantasy Projection: Clarkson is the definition of a high-risk, high-reward player in fantasy basketball. Over the past two seasons, he’s averaged 19.1 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game. However, injuries have been a concern, as he’s missed 20 or more games in each of those seasons. Clarkson remains a key leader on a young Jazz roster that includes 10 players aged 23 or younger. He’s played some of the best basketball of his career since joining Utah and should continue to see significant minutes this season.
