Turns out making movies is a family affair for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.
The Gossip Girl alum revealed that the Deadpool & Wolverine star provided his creative expertise when it came to her new movie It Ends With Us.
"The iconic rooftop scene, my husband actually wrote it," Blake exclusively told E! News at the It Ends With Us premiere in New York City Aug. 6. "Nobody knows that, but you now."
And the chance to work together is something she and Ryan cherish, with Blake adding, "We help each other."
"He works on everything I do," she shared. "I work on everything he does. So his wins, his celebrations are mine and mine are his."
Blake and Ryan—who share daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, and Betty, 4, and son Olin, born in 2023—have both been busy on the publicity trail over the past few months promoting their respective films. And as the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star explained, they absolutely loved it.
"It's just so thrilling," she shared. "It's so surreal in our house right now." (For more with Blake and the cast of It Ends With Us, tune into E! News tonight, August 6 at 11 p.m.)
And that's not the only way Ryan, 47, and Blake, 36, have supported each other as of late. In fact, Blake appeared as Lady Deadpool in Ryan's Deadpool & Wolverine flick, while Ryan recently jumped in alongside his mother Tammy Reynolds and BFF Hugh Jackman for an interview with his wife's It Ends With Us costar Brandon Sklenar.
"It's not everyday the husband gets to interview his wife's love interest in a film," Ryan joked to Brandon during the interview posted Aug. 6. "It's kinda crazy."
But while the couple have made their movies a family affair—Inez and Olin appeared as Kidpool and Babypool in Deadpool & Wolverine—they're a bit more careful about which of their films their kids watch.
"Honestly, Savages, not a movie for my children to see," Blake recently joked to E! News. "The Town—not on the top list, I'd have to say. You know it's a rough one, my filmography."
Luckily, Ryan has starred in a few more kid-appropriate films, like If and Detective Pikachu.
"My husband's filmography is much more user-friendly," she quipped. "Yeah, mommy's movies are not."
