We’re glad your student is attending Dominican University, and we’re proud to welcome you and your family into our university community. Dominican is a unique place because our work is centered in relationships. As the university builds a relationship with your child, we hope to build one with you and your family.

We believe that the heart of a good relationship is communication. We have provided information here to help your student be successful. Links to campus and community resources, online registrations for parent and family events and campus updates are all posted.

Your Family's Dominican Adventure

Congratulations on your student's decision to attend Dominican University. At Dominican, we place a high value on community. As we get to know your student over the coming months and years, we also look forward to developing a relationship with you and your family. Our website will connect you to all the resources you need to launch that relationship—and your student's Dominican adventure.

SOAR (Student Orientation, Advising and Registration)

The Student Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR) program is designed to welcome students into the Dominican University community. SOAR helps students discover the tools needed to be a successful Dominican student both inside and outside the classroom.

Attendance at SOAR is required for all new students, whether freshmen or transfer, commuter or resident. Families of incoming freshmen are invited to attend on Family SOAR days.
