David Allin Jackson

JACKSON, David Allin – Passed away suddenly at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on July 16, 2012 in his 73rd year. Beloved son of the late Clifford and Olive Jackson. Loving brother of Marilyn Dallin (the late Ralph), Lois Lorraine MacKinnon (Ronald), Herbert (Pauline), Dorothy Jackson, Ron (Diane) and Paul (Mamie). Loved uncle of 13 nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews. David worked tirelessly to improve accessibility for those with physical disabilities. He held executive positions on many committees and was a charter member of the Rainbow Club, director of Kawartha Participations Projects, member of Council for Persons with Disabilities and a former member of Persons United for Self Help and the Canadian Paraplegic Association. Visitation will be held at the Comstock Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 from 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm. Interment at Emily Cemetery. If so desired, donations in memory of David may be made to the K.P.P. Foundation.
