Amy Adams' new movie Nightbitch has received its first trailer in which the Man of Steel star begins to turn into a dog.
Based on the 2021 novel by Rachel Yoder, the upcoming movie sees Adams take on the role of a suburban mother who undergoes a dramatic transformation.
The horror comedy sees Adams reunite with her Batman v Superman co-star Scoot McNairy, who stars as her on-screen husband.

They are joined in the cast by Mary Holland, Zoë Chao, Jessica Harper, Darius De La Cruz, Archana Rajan, Ella Thomas, Stacey Swift, Adrienne Rose White, and Roslyn Gentle.
Written and directed by Marielle Heller, Nightbitch tells the story of a stay-at-home mum who has paused her career as an artist to look after her toddler and husband.
Things take a strange turn when her "maternal instincts begin to manifest in canine form" and Adams' character starts turning into a dog at night.
As the trailer shows, things start off with Adams feeling increasingly frustrated at her role in life as a stay-at-home mother, while reminiscing about the "before times" with another group of mums.

She begins to grow sharp teeth and "fuzzy" hair on her body and magically turns into a dog.
"Motherhood changes you. It connects you to some primal urges," one character tells the mother.
Per the trailer, Adams begins to exhibit some canine behaviours, which she later embraces, such as eating ferociously, digging holes in the garden and running around the neighbourhood with a pack of dogs.
In one notable scene from the trailer, Adams admits to a group of mothers that she thinks she is turning into a dog and they all laugh at the confession.
"I am a woman," she says as the trailer concludes. "I am an animal. I am Nightbitch."
Nighbitch will be released in cinemas on December 6.
