Rangers will only sign another striker if one more can be moved on according to a report - opening the door to exits for the likes of Cyriel Dessers or Danilo.

Philippe Clement has been assessing his options up front and just landed Moroccan talent Hamza Igamane. But there's a belief the 21-year-old will be eased in gradually rather than thrown in at the deep end, with the starting No.9 shirt still well and truly up for grabs. Dessers held it for much of last season but has been linked with moves to Saudi Arabia, Spain and France during the window, with Gers open to selling him.

Danilo meanwhile missed much of last season through injury and may hope to play his way back into Clement's plans this pre-season. The Rangers Review report that Clement now sees the striker situation as a 'one in, one out' position - meaning he will only sign another striker if one can be moved on. And at the moment it looks most likely to be Dessers sacrificed if Rangers want to add one more to their ranks.

Elsewhere former Rangers kid Dapo Mebude could be offered an emotional return to the SPFL after his horror car crash in Belgium. The 22-year-old was left fearing for his life in December last year when his car crashed into a tree as his club at the time, KV Oostende, broke the worrying news. But since then he's recovered and is on the lookout for a new club after leaving the Belgian side in June.

He's been on trial at Livingston and was given 30 minutes off the bench by David Martindale, who is looking to guide the Lions straight back to the Premiership after their relegation last term. And if he earns a deal, Mebude - who only made one appearance for Rangers before his move to Watford three years ago - could feature in the SPFL for the first time since he was on loan at Queen of the South in 2021.

One player who could be leaving Ibrox this summer is Scott Wright and Sheffield Wednesday boss Danny Rohl offered a cagey response to a reporter when pressed on whether or not he would be the next signing in the door at Hillsborough. The 26-year-old winger exit for some time now and the interest from the Championship club has ramped up in recent days.

Speaking to the BBC Sport South Yorkshire show Football Heaven, following the Owls 2-0 friendly victory over Alfreton, the 35-year-old German manager sidestepped the reporter's quest for answers on a number of signings the Owls were looking to make. When quizzed directly on transfer rumours surrounding Wright, and whether the deal was all but done, he said: "I will not speak about names because it makes no sense.

"This market goes so quick. We have an idea what we want to have, I have an idea of how I want to play in the new season."
