In demand: Jennifer Lopez, pictured on Thursday at the People Magazine Awards in LA, was paid $1.75 million for a 40 minute performance in Macau in November, Life & Style is claiming
The publication suggested J-Lo was 'overseas' anyhow, so stopping by the city in the People's Republic Of China was not that far out of the way.
'She had a deal to give a 40-minute performance for a family of casino magnates,' a source said.
'Several hundred thousands of dollars were paid up front, just for J-Lo's travel expenses.'
She sure can shake it: The 45-year-old performer, seen here is a clip from her December 31 Dance Again HBO documentary, brought an entourage with her, it was alleged
And the A.K.A singer brought a lot of people with her, including dancers that she used for her performance.
'Her team requested more than 20 rooms,' a source said. A full staff was required for the show.
'One VIP suite was for her, in a five star hotel for up to three nights.'
It was added the I Luh Ya Papi singer did not stay long and was back in the US to celebrate Thanksgiving with her twins Max and Emme, aged six, that she had with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
So many fans: J-Lo, seen here in Europe during her last international concert, has yet to comment whether she traveled to Macau for the family of casino magnates
Lopez often gives private performances.

The single mother will next star in the tour documentary Dance Again which will air on HBO on December 31.
She didn't stay long: It was also reported the I Luh Ya Papi singer raced back to the US after the alleged concert to spent Thanksgiving with her twins Max and Emme, aged six; here they are pictured by their Christmas tree over the weekend
The special promises to give a behind-the-scenes look of her international tour.
After that her film The Boy Next Door with Ryan Guzman will come out.
The synopsis for the drama is: 'Boy Next Door is a romantic thriller in the vein of Fatal Attraction. Claire (played by Jennifer) is estranged from her husband and has a fling with a young man who moves in next door, who becomes obsessed with her.'
The Boy Next Door is scheduled for a January 23 release.
In theaters soon: The Bronx native will next co-star with Ryan Guzman, pictured, in The Boy Next Door, due out on January 23
