Joey Essex and Jessy Potts accused of 'faking their 'real deal' romance' following Love Island stint as he travels the country alone for '£250K club tour' while she parties elsewhere with pals

Joey Essex and Jessy Potts have been accused of faking their romance following their stint in the Love Island villa, despite claiming the romance was the 'real deal'.

After missing out on a spot in the ITV2 final and voted 'least compatible' the pair returned to the UK and have busy attending numerous events separately.

While Joey, 34, has been raking in a reported £250K on a club tour, Jessy, 25, has been partying with pals and attending movie premieres.

The couple have appeared together for TV and magazine interviews, where Joey hinted at them starting a family, but have not made an appearance on each other's Instagram grids.

Tongues were sent wagging further when Joey revealed on This Morning that he was considering a move to the US in a bid to make a name for himself stateside.

Following the revelation fans fumed on Reddit, according to The Sun, with one writing: 'Not one time did he ever consider the fact that Jessy may or may not come with him to America - and quite frankly, I don't think he gives a damn if she does'.

While another said: 'How will Jessy even get to America? Is she going to America?

MailOnline have contacted Jessy and Joey's reps for comment.

The former TOWIE star caused a stir when he entered the villa as the first celebrity contestant.

Despite being labelled as the 'pantomime villain' and well known for his bachelor antics, later claimed to have settled down with 'exclusive girlfriend' Jessy.

Joey claims the pair have already started thinking about their future despite not the 'L' word to each other yet.

Telling OK! Magazine: 'We've already spoken about kids.'

'We both want a big family. But we're having a bit of a tiff at the moment. She wants four, I want eight.

'Imagine how great that would be? I'm ready. I'd do it tomorrow. Maybe even tonight!'.

'There has been big interest in the US, and that was even before Love Island, so that's his next move once he's had some time off.

'Joey is keen to move his career Stateside and make a name for himself out there, where the reality market has some fresh and exciting options.

'They love a Brit but they've never come across anyone quite like Joey so there is every possibility he could well conquer America too.'

The source added: 'His team Neon Management have been inundated with magazine cover shoots and podcast interviews since Love Island, plus more meetings with Netflix so Joey has never been more in demand.'

Joey's popularity doesn't seem to have been affected by some of the negative headlines sparked by his stint on Love Island where he was accused of being unkind to his ex-girlfriend Grace Jackson and 'argumentative' in the villa.

But speaking after his exit, Joey said he deliberately caused a stir as show bosses encouraged him to lean on his reality TV experience and create as much drama as possible, admitting he was a show 'plant.'

He said during an appearance on This Morning: 'Everyone is encouraged to pot stir, the difference with me is that I don't hesitate… I know what the producers want!

'Some didn't want to go out there and upset people and I respect that, but the difference with me and 13 years experience, I know what to do and that's what I did.'

Admitting he played the 'pantomime villain', Joey added: 'I have no regrets, you know what it's like, and I played the pantomime villain. I did what I had to do, I wanted to have fun and find love and I found Jessy.'

After being asked if they've said the 'love' word to each other yet. Jessy said, 'We don't want to rush things.'

Despite the criticism, Joey said he wanted people to focus on him and his new flame as a couple and ignore all the noise around them, insisting he was 'genuine' during his time in the villa.
