After a fourth-quarter collapse that saw Serbia give up a 13-point lead to Team USA, Serbian basketball captain Bogdan Bogdanovic has made a bombshell claim that the Americans got 'help' from the referees.
Serbia led for a heavy majority of the game, but the USA won the fourth quarter 32-15 to overcome the deficit.
Before Serbia can play Germany in the bronze-medal match, the Atlanta Hawks guard, who has now relation to Croatian forward Bojan Bogdanovic, reflected on the agonizing loss.
One such look-back saw Bogdanovic criticize the officiating.
'We tried to talk to them; they didn't try to talk to us. They just walked away. But it's ok. The USA doesn't need that type of help against us,' Bogdanovic said to BasketNews. 'You know, we didn't have that type of help when they were grabbing us with two hands and all that.'

'But I'm not that type of guy who will talk about referees, you know, and I even wanted to win against referees too, you know, and respect to us for keeping it calm the whole game and not talking to them,' Bogdanovic continued.
'These referees are going to be there too, so we can't talk about them now. I don't want to think like a loser, you know, referees, blah, blah. Even though I think that they could have called differently,' Bogdanovic added.
'I'm not that type of guy who will talk about referees, and I even wanted to win against referees too,' Bogdanovic concluded.
Bogdanovic also was appreciative of his team's effort, knowing their small country nearly took down the behemoth of the United States.
'Thank you to everyone for everything; it was a tough loss, but I am proud of the way we fought,' Bogdanovic said. 'We didn't give up, and that is something we can be proud of.'
The Serbian team most notably included Nikola Jokic, who was mainly guarded by Joel Embiid and LeBron James.
Fellow NBA MVPs such as Kevin Durant and Steph Curry were also on Team USA.
