Controversial television pundit Jason Whitlock has taken aim at NBC after they opted against showing Brittany Mahomes on screen in the wake of her endorsement of Donald Trump.
The wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick hit the headlines last week after appearing to back Trump by liking several posts on social media, and she then sat away from Taylor Swift for the team's NFL opener on Thursday night.
While cameras captured Swift's every move as she cheered on boyfriend Travis Kelce, there was no airtime at all for Mahomes, despite her being front and center of the broadcasts last season.
Many fans took to social media to question the reasons behind NBC's decision not to show her, with Whitlock among them.
On his YouTube show on Friday, he said: 'I find it very interesting, I feel like nobody is talking about this. I tweeted midway through the third quarter, "I can't believe they're not going to show her at some point".

In contrast, Taylor Swift was a regular face on America's TV screens for the Week 1 clash
'I'm sure [Mike] Tirico and Cris Collinsworth wanted no part in having to comment about why she's been in the news cycle.
'They made her part of the story last year, it's interesting that now she's my favorite NFL wife, she's on Team MAGA, I want to know more about her than I do Taylor Swift, but I got nothing.'
Alongside the video, he posted the caption: 'Now that she’s team MAGA, NBC is too scared to show her.'
Brittany and Taylor's decision to sit in different VIP suites for the Chiefs' win over the Baltimore Ravens set tongues wagging on Thursday night, as fans questioned whether the 'besties' from last season no longer get on.
DailyMail.com understands that the pair are still close, and partied together after the game at local cocktail bar Prime Social, after Kelce hired out the entire establishment for his friends and family.

Swift is once again expected to be a regular attendee at Chiefs games this season, as she travels around the country to support her man, while also completing the final dates of her sold-out worldwide Eras Tour.
The pop superstar has no schedule clashes until Week 7 of the regular season, meaning she could be in the stands for Chiefs games until October 20.
Next up, the reigning Super Bowl champions host the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead, before a road game in Atlanta against the Falcons.
From there, they head to LA, before hosting the Saints at the start of October.
