Additional Important Registration Information

Before the Semester Begins:

  • Log in to myGateway and DegreeWorks to discover how these tools will help you be a successful student.
  • Buy your books.
  • Buy your parking permit, if needed. Visit cypresscollege.edu/parking/ for more information.
  • Visit campus before school begins to find the location of your classrooms.

After the Semester Begins:

See your counselor in your major to create a comprehensive educational plan and to get more information about the courses you should take. Make an appointment by calling the Counseling Center at (714) 484-7015. 

Tuition and Fees

California Residents:

  • Enrollment Fee: $46 per unit (Waived for CCPG recipients)
  • Health Fee: The health fee is $21 per semester, $18 for summer session, and $16 for each intersession
  • Material Fee: Certain classes require additional fees. Refer to the course descriptions in the Schedule of Classes.

Non-Residents:

2023-2024

Non-residents of the State of California are charged tuition at $362 per unit, which includes the $20 Capital Outlay fee per Education Code Section 76141. Non-resident tuition is in addition to the enrollment fee required to be paid by all students. If you believe you should be reclassified as a resident student, it is your responsibility to request a change in your classification in the Admissions and Records Office prior to registration.

Other Fees:

  • Associated Student Benefits: $13 per semester
  • Campus Photo ID Card: $2.50 per semester
  • Parking Permit*: Automobiles – $40; Motorcycles – $20
  • Student Representation Fee: $2 per semester

Note: Campus Safety will ticket for no student parking permit beginning the SECOND week of the semester.  Your parking permit allows you to park in designated student parking at Cypress and Fullerton Colleges as well as our Anaheim Campus.

Program Registration Information

Special Admit Students

Special Admit students are high school students who wish to attend Cypress College and high school at the same time. Though enrollment fees are waived for high school students, they must pay for the health fee (currently $19) and any material fees. Special admit students must fill out two applications: the main one and the Special Admit Student Program Application. NOTE: Special admit students may take up to 11 units ONLY.

Dual Enrollment

Cypress College partners with area school districts to offer high school students the opportunity to earn college credit while attending high school. Students enrolled in dual enrollment courses earn credit for college classes that may be eligible to transfer to a CSU or UC institution. Courses offered in the dual enrollment program may be taken at the college or high school campus. Click here for information regarding Dual Enrollment.

Charger Experience Program (Promise)

The Charger Experience Program (Promise) is designed to provide all incoming students the foundation for success through direct engagement with academic programs and comprehensive understanding of support services.

Benefits include:

  • Two years of free tuition for all first-time college students
  • Priority registration and full-time placement
  • Academic, career, and transfer counseling, including a student education plan
  • Activities, support services, and events
  • Personalized support from Charger Experience counselors

International Students

If you are an international student on an F-1 visa, you may be eligible for the International Students Program.

ESL Students

Cypress College has an excellent credit ESL program that has been recognized statewide for its success. Students can find more information about credit ESL courses, including ESL 110C, our transfer-level composition course that meets the same requirements as ENGL 100, on the following pages:
