Satechi makes an awfully cool USB-C hub and stand for Mac mini that also suits Mac Studio perfectly. We’re surprised we don’t see that particular Satechi hub and stand more often in computer setups online.
But today’s Mac Studio rig with three big 4K displays makes perfect use of it. It greatly expands the machine’s capability and it blends right in like it’s not even there.

Mac Studio setup makes perfect use of Satechi USB-C hub and stand
Software engineer and Redditor Imtog (“Tog”) showcased the Mac Studio setup with three external displays in a post entitled, “Might have overdone it with triple 32″ 4K.”
On Wednesday we discussed the setup’s three big, high resolution displays and whether that’s just too darned many (for some people).
Today we point out an outstanding accessory that’s often overlooked: the Satechi USB-C hub and stand. You can easily miss it because it sits underneath a Mac mini or a Mac Studio, looking like part of the machine. It’s a great design.
Mac Studio includes USB-C and USB-A ports on the front and back of the machine. Satechi’s hub and stand adds more port access from the front, which can be especially convenient for plugging in items like cameras and thumb drives. The hub and stand is also a memory enclosure for a drive that can add massive storage capacity to your Mac.
“Built to optimize the M1 Mac mini [or Mac Studio], this sleek stand and hub offers users easy front access to peripherals and increased memory storage, making it a natural extension of any workplace,” said Satechi.

Sleek and elegant design. Designed as a natural extension of your Mac with a brushed finish and silver aluminum alloy, which helps with heat dissipation without cluttering your workspace. A perfect combination for your Mac Mini M2 and Mac Studio.
