The Satechi 7-in-1 USB-C Slim Multi-Port Adapter unveiled Friday lets travelers connect a wide range of accessories to their computer, including Ethernet, HDMI, USB-A and more. Two additional versions offer fewer ports at lower prices.
Satechi also introduced a passport cover that’s findable with Apple’s Find My technology.
New Satechi USB-C travel adapters offer a range of port options
MacBooks mostly concentrate on USB-C, so those who want additional types of ports frequently look to adapters. Satechi has made these accessories for years, and announced three new models at the IFA trade show in Berlin.
The latest improve on their predecessors with USB-A ports that support USB 3.2 Gen 2 for data transfers at up to 10Gbps. And they support Power Delivery up to 100W versus 60W of earlier versions.
Its 7-in-1 USB-C Slim Multi-Port Adapter with Ethernet ($79.99) includes a HDMI port that supports 4K at 60Hz, a USB-C charging port, two USB-A ports, micro/SD card readers, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
The Satechi 6-in-1 USB-C Slim Multi-Port Adapter ($69.99) has most of the same but leaves out the Ethernet port.
And the 4-in-1 Slim Multi-Port Adapter 4K ($59.99) includes an HDMI port for 4K/60Hz, a USB-C charging port, and a pair of USB-A ports.
All three products include an aluminum enclosure and a integrated tangle-free braided connecting cable with a reinforced neck.
The new Satechi USB-C adapters are scheduled to launch September 26.
Satechi passport cover with Find My
Don’t worry about losing your passport with the Satechi Vegan-Leather Passport Cover with Find My. The cover warns the wearer if they get too far from their passport. And if it’s misplaced, the product shows up in Apple’s Find My app on iPhone, and an audible alarm can be set off.
In addition to a passport holder, the cover included four card slots and RFID protection. The built-in tracker tag uses wireless charging with a five-month battery life.
