The new Satechi Qi2 Wireless Car Charger will replenish your iPhone or Android handset battery fast on the road, the well-known tech accessories company said Thursday. That’s because the compact, space-gray Qi2 charger packs a full 15 watts of charging power, MagSafe-style, rather than the routine 7.5 many older chargers bring.
So if you have an iPhone 12 series handset or newer, or a Qi2-enabled Android phone, it can get a nice extra energy boost in the car.

Satechi Qi2 Wireless Car Charger
Satechi’s new car charger joins the growing ranks of Qi2 devices, the updated wireless charging standard that brings MagSafe-like magnetic charging to all, or at least most, smartphones for less money than many MagSafe chargers cost. Satechi’s new aluminum charger has a soft silicone charging puck with sturdy hinges on it, the company said.
And the best thing, of course, is that it doubles the charging power and speed of charging for your iPhone from a typical 7.5W to 15W. You can use it with iPhone 12 series or newer iPhones as well as other Qi-enabled devices that have a magnetic case or ring to attach to the charger’s pad. And you can set a smartphone or landscape (horizontal) or portrait (vertical) mode as it hovers above your dashboard. It’s even backed by Standby support.

Satechi said the charger’s magnets have a strong “pull force range of 800-878gr.” That suggests no bumpy road will dislodge your phone from the charger.
And another nice feature of the Satechi Qi2 Wireless Car Charger is that it comes not only with a USB-C cable, but also a 25W cigarette light adapter. Not all Qi2 car chargers do. When they don’t, you have to buy one for another $10 to $20.
