You can connect the USB-C port on your MacBook directly to a high-resolution monitor without a hub using Satechi’s new HDMI adapter. And there’s also a version with a built-in 2-meter cable for easier connections.
In addition, the accessory-maker also just launched a USB-C Ethernet Adapter that offers up to 2.5 Gigabit data transfers.
Satachi USB-C to HDMI adapter or cable
The USB-C port on a Mac, MacBook, iPad or an iPhone 15 can be attached to an external monitor … as long as the screen has a USB-C port of its own. Otherwise, an adapter is needed.
That’s where the Satechi USB-C to HDMI 2.1 8K Adapter comes in. Plug it into nearly the whole range of Apple computers to make use of a second (or third) high-res screen.
One version is just the adapter, so a high-end HDMI cable is needed. A second version adds an integrated 2-meter cable.
The product itself can handle 4K/120Hz and 8K/60Hz. But be aware: Many Macs top out at 6K, so they can’t take full advantage of Satechi’s adapter. But they are compatible with it up to the limits of their screen resolutions and refresh rates.
The USB-C to HDMI 2.1 8K Adapter costs $44.99.

The accessory-maker also introduced an adapter that allows Apple devices to plug an Ethernet cable into the USB-C port in a range of Apple devices.
Unlike traditional adapters, Satechi’s new one supports up to 2500Mbps Ethernet. That means faster data transfers and quicker file downloads on networks that support multi-gig Ethernet.
