We’re huge fans of TwelveSouth’s BookBook cases here at Cult of Mac. Like everyone else, we’ve been anticipating a BookBook for the iPhone 5. Today we got word that TwelveSouth has an updated BookBook for Apple’s newest iPhone in the pipeline, and the case will be available next month!
BookBook is unique because it doubles as wallet, making it easy to carry your cards and ID with your iPhone. Not only will BookBook for iPhone 5 come in two colors, but TwelveSouth has redesigned the case to include… drum roll please… a hole for the rear-facing camera!
We couldn’t be more excited about the latest brilliant mobile device from Apple and we’ve received many questions about availability of a BookBook for iPhone made just for the iPhone 5.
We are, indeed, hard at work on a BookBook for iPhone 5. It will ship in November. It will be available in both Classic Black and Vintage Brown. And finally (no doubt the news you’ve been waiting for), no need to slide your iPhone up to take a picture anymore. BookBook for iPhone 5 will include a camera hole!
BookBook has always been one of the more inventive cases for the iPhone, but the biggest downside to the design was the lack of camera holes. To take a picture, you would have to slide the iPhone out of the wallet. Many BookBook users manually cut holes in back of the case so they could use the camera. With the iPhone 5, you’ll finally be able to snap pics without taking the case off.
No pricing details have been made available yet, but stay tuned for more news on BookBook for iPhone 5 in November.
