If you’re serious about high-quality audio, you should crank up the quality level of audio components in your computer setup just like you do in your living room. Today’s MacBook Pro user maxes out sound using Audioengine speakers mounted on stands along with a powerful Audioengine subwoofer on the floor under the desk. So they can get clear and detailed audio at low volume, but they can also shake the whole room with powerful sound when they want.

M2 Pro MacBook setup blasts sound with Audioengine speakers and subwoofer

Redditor Putrid-Caregiver-308 (“PC”) showcased the bright white setup with stacked dual displays in a post entitled, “Once you go Mac…” And of course a commenter responded, “You never go back.” PC uses a 14-inch M2 Pro MacBook Pro to drive a pair of stacked 32-inch Lenovo displays, but he also runs a PC of some sort.

“WFH/personal setup, converted to Mac for personal use about a year ago, and have not regretted it. Still stuck on Windows for work,” they said. We covered their stacked displays and webcam placement last week. Today we turn to their Audioengine speakers and subwoofer — a formidable sound system.

PC mounts their Audioengine A5 Powered Booksehelf Speakers on Kanto speaker stands to reduce distortion and maximize clarity. The added Audioengine S8 subwoofer on the floor under the desk tremendously boosts the low end, of course. This could be the main sound system for a home, but here it brings loud, clear and full audio to a computer setup.

Here’s how Audioengine describes the 150-watt A5 speakers:
