Daniel Wine is a producer and writer for CNN Digital’s Off-Platform and New Audiences team, helping optimize the delivery of CNN content to audiences across platforms.

In this role, Wine works on newsletters and push notifications and helps manage the network’s social media platforms. He also programs content for CNN’s mobile and desktop websites and news app. Wine writes for CNN’s popular 5 Things newsletter and helped launch and produce the PM Plug-In newsletter that goes out on weekdays on LinkedIn.

Before joining CNN in 2021, Wine worked as digital manager for an Atlanta TV station and served in a variety of writing and editing roles at newspapers in Florida and North Carolina. He was part of the Orlando Sentinel team that was named a Pulitzer Prize finalist for Breaking News coverage of the Pulse nightclub shooting in 2016.

Early in his career, he covered the Danny Rolling student murders case in Gainesville, Florida, and interned at the Los Angeles Times in the immediate aftermath of the Rodney King verdict and riots that rocked the city.

Wine grew up in Virginia and graduated from the University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications. He remains a loyal Gators fan and returns to campus now and then to catch a football or basketball game.
