Highland Park is a subsection of Cypress Hills, itself a subsection of East New York. As the name suggests, it sits on a the upslope of a hill with sweeping vistas as far away as the Rockaways in Queens. To its northwest are a collection of historic cemeteries while its western border is the jumbled collection of rail lines at Broadway Junction.

Occupying over 500 acres of land, it boasts a variety of recreational activities, including hiking trails, baseball fields, picnic areas, and a golf course. With its diverse topography, visitors can hike through wooded forests, stroll around the lake, or bask in the sun on an open meadow. Throughout the year, various events are held in the park, such as community festivals, live music concerts, and outdoor movie screenings. Originally known as Ridgewood Reservoir, Highland Park is situated at one of the highest points in Brooklyn, overlooking the city's skyline. In the early 1900s, the park was a popular site for picnics, jogging, and other outdoor activities, and it became widely recognized as a prime location for relaxation and recreation. In 1901, the park was officially renamed Highland Park, reflecting its high altitude location and the majestic views it offers. Today, Highland Park remains a popular destination for Brooklyn residents and visitors alike, boasting numerous hiking trails, playgrounds, and open green spaces for all to enjoy.

Highland Park, located in Brooklyn, is known for its vast green space, which includes a 150-acre park and reservoir. Inside the park, there are several landmarks that are worth visiting, including the Highland Park Ridgewood Reservoir, a 50-acre decommissioned reservoir. The reservoir is now a protected nature preserve that provides a habitat for over 100 species of birds. His provocative and controversial works lead him to receive critical acclaim and international recognition. Another famous Highland Parker is Jason Ralph, an actor known for his roles in movies, TV shows, and stage plays. He is best recognized for portraying the character of Quentin Coldwater in the popular TV series, The Magicians. Additionally, we have Lloyd Kaufman, a renowned film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor, famous for his cult classic films, such as Troma's War, Class of Nuke 'Em High, and The Toxic Avenger. These are just a few of the many talented people who have hailed from Highland Park and made significant contributions to their respective fields.
