Rosie’s Richmond Invests in Community Through Rosie’s Gives Back Program
~ Second Quarter contributions totaling $53,500 including to Cancer LINC, Miles Jones Elementary School, the Capital Area Health Network, and the Hispanic American Sports Academy, among others~
RICHMOND, VA., (July 19, 2024) – In the second quarter of 2024, Rosie’s Richmond contributed a total of $53,500 through its Rosie’s Gives Back program to support trusted community partners serving, veterans, education, public health etc.
Recipients of contributions include:
- $5,000 to Cancer LINC – Serving cancer patients experiencing financial needs.
- $ 25,000 to Miles Jones Elementary – Assisting with supplies, books, computers and lunches.
- $5,000 to the Hispanic American Sports Academy to support the Richmond Hispanic Latin Jazz Festival
- $5,500 to Community Transformer’s Foundation to assist individuals in need battling postpartum depression.
- $1,000 to A Teacher Inspired Me. Inc – Assisting Teachers in need and inspiring others to become teachers.
- $5,000 to Capital Area Health Network to provide quality healthcare for low-income patients.
- $5,000 to Fairways to Warriors Richmond VA Chapter to prevent suicide among military veterans.
- $2,500 RVA Hands Up Chester to provide 300 bookbags with supplies and lunches for children.
Community nonprofit organizations can request financial, volunteer, in-kind, or other support through the Rosie’s Gives Back program by submitting an online request form.
Rosie’s Gaming Emporiums in Richmond and around the state contribute to local organizations and causes through the “Rosie’s Gives Back” program which has made $2.5 million in direct donations, $195,000+ in-kind contributions, and donated more than 2,500 hours of volunteer service. The program supports a range of nonprofits and causes around Virginia including groups providing services in education, workforce development, and support for veterans and law enforcement. The goal of the Rosie’s Gives Back program is to meaningfully improve the quality of life in the communities where team members live and work.
