Police have made a public appeal to help find a missing teenager.

Northumbria Police say Kain Davis, 17, was last seen in the Wall Close area of Coxlodge, Newcastle, at 4pm on Monday, January 13. He also has links to the Gosforth area.

Anyone who may have seen Kain or has information about his whereabouts is being asked to contact officers as soon as possible. Police have also released details about what Kain looks like and what he was last seen wearing.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: "Officers are appealing to the public to help locate a missing Newcastle teenager. Kain Davis, aged 17, was last seen in the Wall Close area of Coxlodge, Newcastle, at 4pm on Monday (January 13). Kain also has links to the Gosforth area of Newcastle.

"Extensive enquiries are ongoing, and officers are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. They are asking for anyone who may know where Kain is to contact them.

"He is described as 4ft 11in tall with short brown hair and was last seen wearing an orange, white and navy puffer coat (as pictured), dark trousers, dark blue Adidas trainers and a navy Adidas backpack. Kain, or anyone who knows where he may be, should contact Northumbria Police by sending a direct message on social media, or by using the live chat or report forms functions on the force’s website."
