I'm so excited that we will be participating in the 2024 CHOC Walk in Disneyland Park on Sunday, July 21!

Our support for CHOC is partially rooted in a very personal experience that my family had with CHOC. In the blink of an eye last May, our lives took an unexpected turn when our 12-year-old daughter, Phoebe, suffered a traumatic brain injury. The days that followed were the longest and most harrowing of our lives.

I cannot describe the helplessness and frustration we felt trying to fight for the care we knew she needed immediately after her injury. That all changed the minute CHOC arrived. The EMTs, doctors, and nurses from CHOC provided Phoebe with exceptional medical care, treating her with a deep understanding of her unique needs as a child rather than just a small adult. Their expertise and compassion created the healing environment she needed to return to full health.

The support and care we received from CHOC during those critical days are just one of the reasons why we are so passionate about supporting CHOC.

Every dollar raised from this magical event will support health care programs, education, and research at CHOC and CHOC at Mission Hospitals. More than two million children a year depend on CHOC, and our community's generosity is what provides access to the best possible care and services.
