The 38th Mount Tai International Mountaineering Competition will take place in Tai'an from Sept 6 to 12.

This year's event will focus on things such as brand building, cultural exchange, and shared experiences. Activities will include cultural and tourism exchanges between China and foreign countries, a cultural tourism event themed on the Yellow River and Mount Tai, and mountaineering sports competitions.

Since the establishment of the mountaineering festival in 1987, Tai'an has used the mountain as a medium to seek cooperation, deepen cultural exchanges, and promote the high-quality development of Tai'an's tourism and sports industries.

The city will focus on expanding, strengthening, and optimizing the branding of the mountaineering festival, further integrate festival resources, adhere to innovative festival management concepts, organize a variety of sporting events and cultural tourism activities, and strive to become an international tourist destination.
